He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Maness and Vera Hinson Maness; his sons, Anthony Wayne Maness and William Gregory Maness; and his siblings, Margaret Beane and Charles Earl Maness.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hines Maness; his children, Donna Lynn Maness of Franklinville and Charles Shane Maness (Michelle) of Sophia; his grandchildren, Jamie McDonald, Jade Dawkins and Eli Maness; and his great grandchildren, Rhett Maness, Sadie Dawkins and Adaline Dawkins.
