It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Manring of Franklinville, North Carolina, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on June 14, 2024, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Bryce Newsom and Mildred Cook Newsom; and her brother David Newsom. She is survived by: her sons, David Whiteside (Jennifer) of Ramseur and Samuel Whiteside of Franklinville; her sisters, Mary Miller of Asheboro, Sheila Lassiter of Asheboro and Melicia Hudspeth of Asheboro; and her grandchildren, Sarah McKinley Whiteside and Aaliyah Lynn Dorsey. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and fur babies and feathered friends.
