She was predeceased by: her parents, John Purvis Whitehead and Molly Iona Carter Whitehead; and her former husband James Avery Chance. She is survived by: her husband Douglas Allen Vuncannon; her children, Jean Chance Briggs (Gerald) of Randleman, James "Jim" Allen Chance of Archdale and Franklin Dean Chance (Teresa) of Brentwood, TN; her stepdaughter Pamela Lamonds of Franklinville; her grandchildren, Kathy D. Graham (Paul) of Leland, Kimberly B. Payne (Brandon) of Wake Forrest, Kevin J. Briggs of Randleman, Melanie Chance Howard of Chesapeake, VA, Amy Chance Lomax (Chad) of Trinity, Rebecca Faith Chance of Asheville, Travis J. Chance (Sandra) of Franklin, TN, Katherine "Katie" Chance Webb (Charlie) of Brentwood, TN and Lily Bristow Chance of Brentwood, TN; and her great grandchildren, Jackson "JP", Clint, Emma, Mia, Kylah, McKenzie, Landon, Payton of Bethany, Brooklynn and Travis "TJ".
