She was predeceased by: her husband Boyd A. Burgess; and her parents, Mitchell Freeman and Bessie Lewis Freeman. She is survived by: her son Alan Burgess (Panda) of Franklinville; her brother Lewis Freeman (Margaret) of Asheboro; and her grandchildren, Rodney Burgess (Vickie) of Asheboro, Anderson Burgess of Greensboro and Laurie Burgess of Ramseur. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.
