She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Laughlin and Ruby Routh Laughlin; her sister Lillian Young; and her children, Allen Keith Mears and Cheryl Holt.
She is survived by: her husband Bobby Allen Mears; her children, Sue Brown (Tim) of Asheboro, Junior Rutledge of Asheboro, Mark Mears, Frank of Pompano Beach, FL and Shelia M. Moran (Anthony) of Asheboro; her siblings, Evonne Hege of Franklinville, Robert Laughlin (Betty) of Asheboro, Allen Laughlin of Randleman and Malcom Laughlin (Shelby) of Asheboro; her grandchildren, Ashley Luck, Josh Hamilton, Toshia Watson (Kenneth), Jennifer King (Danny), Alex Mears (Peggy), Courtney Holt (Jacob), Chase Rutledge (Lia), Allen Moran and Laci Moran; and her great grandchildren, Bailey Luck, Malorie Cyr, Peyton Mears, Kayson Watson, Madelyn King, Mason King, Caroline Luck, Ava Mears and Taylor Watson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
