She was predeceased by: her husband Junior "Buck" Atkins; her parents, Hershel Gray and Ada Glasgow Gray; and her brothers, Mackie Nation and Roger Nation.
She is survived by: her children, Leatha Atkins, Bonnie Forrest (Jeff) of Asheboro and Jay Atkins (Leigh Ann) of Pleasant Garden; her sister Bonnie Wibben of Oklahoma City, OK; and her great grandchild Carrie Maness of Asheboro. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
