She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Maxton and Myrtle Smith Craven; her brother Dr. Maxton Ray Craven; and her brothers-in-law, Clark Lanier and Jimmy Williams.
She is survived by: her husband James Michael "Mike" Smith; her siblings, Carolyn Lundy, Mary Lanier, Margaret Williams and Wallace Craven (Suzanne); and her sister-in-law Kathy Lamb Craven.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Clearview Baptist Church for the Mercy Mountain Girl's Home, to reflect Kathy's lifelong commitment to serving others and spreading the Gospel.
