It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel Robert Varner Jr. of Franklinville, North Carolina, who passed away on September 20, 2022, at the age of 35, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Robert "Bob" Varner (Barbara) and Herman Walker (Ida); his uncles, Frankie Walker and George Groce; his aunt Ida Groce; and his cousins, Darrell Hutson, Charity Hutson Bowman, Hannah Gordon, Tiffany Allred and Joseph Groce.
He is survived by: his parents, Joel Varner Sr. and Ellen Walker Varner; his sister Barbara Varner; and his nephews, David, William, Questin and Ezekiel Varner.
