He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Hardin and Fleta Chandler Hardin; his daughter Robin Hardin; and his brothers, C. T. Hardin (Ora) and Claude Hardin (Wilma).
He is survived by: his wife Martha N. Hardin; his son Chris Hardin (Lauren) of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Samantha Binkley (Zack) of Winston Salem and Matthew Hardin (Hope Earnhardt) of Trinity; and his great grandchild Caelynne Binkley of Winston Salem. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
