With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Alice Loyd of Franklinville, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Alice left this world on October 31, 2024 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Alice may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alice touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Laurie Cone (Franklinville), Lisa Cone (Denver) and Elliot Cone (Denver); her son-in-law Hugh Long (Denver); and her grandchildren, Nathan Egan (Asheville), Theo Egan (Franklinville), Lexie and Lyla Cone.
A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Seagrove United Methodist Church (225 W Main St, Seagrove, NC 27341). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at the Riverview Cemetery (736 W Main St, Franklinville, NC 27248). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Pullen Memorial Baptist Church (1801 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27605).
