Thorpe; her children, Taunya Charles (Wayne) of Oxford, NC and Michael Blacknall of Oxford, NC; and her siblings, Deborah Thorpe, Charlene Taborn, Sheila Blacknall (Marvin), LaGrant Thorpe (Diane), Toney Thorpe (Karen), Dwight Thorpe (Shana) and Donnie Thorpe (Kristen). She was also cherished by five aunts, one uncle, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
