She is survived by: her husband Ronnie Blalock; her children, Chase Blalock (Christy) of Creedmoor and Laurie Scoggins (Chad) of Durham; her grandchildren, Colin Scoggins, Sarah Van Auken and Hayden Van Auken; and her brother Charles Shepherd (Eloise).
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Maplewood Cemetery (1621 Duke University Rd, Durham, NC 27701).
