He was predeceased by: his father Richard Earl Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Amanda Thayer of Wake Forest, Hunter Johnson (Justin McNair) of Raleigh and Brooklyn Pridgen of Oxford; his mother Sylvia Salmon Johnson of Kittrell; his grandson Mason Thayer; his brothers, Scott Johnson of Kittrell, Timmy Johnson (Gina) of Wake Forest and Chris Johnson (Yolanda) of Raleigh; and his nieces and nephews, Taylor Johnson of Bailey Briggs, T. J and Kristy Staton. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
