He was predeceased by: his mother Thelma Cooper of Franklinton, N. C.. He is survived by: his parent Johnnie Cooper; his caregiver Mack; his pets, Grand Slam, Bjorn Borg and Muhammad Ali; his aunt Eva; his wife Jeanne; his children, Scott (Susan Hager) of Harrisburg, N. C. and Kristin (Loren Gulak) of Wilmington, N. C.; his grandchildren, Michael Cooper, Danielle Cooper and Myles Gulak; and his brother Ralph (Susan Beck) of Mocksville, N. C..
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel (504 E Mason St, Franklinton, NC 27525). A reception was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
