She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleana Jane and Joe Lonnie Brickey; her husband Rufus Junior; her siblings, Eugene, Robert Brickey, Willidine Wheatley and Patricia Kaeseman; and her stepsons, Talbert and James.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Darone (Steve) of Franklinton, NC, Teresa Collins (Jack) of Winchester, VA, Steven Mays of Kittrell, NC and Willidine Mellas (Steve) of Middlesex, NC; and her stepdaughters, Renee Chandler of Martinsville, VA and Kay Dunavant of Ridgeway, VA.. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
