Karen Diane Pursell Obituary

Karen Diane Pursell, 68, passed away on February 05, 2025 at her home in Franklinton, NC. Karen was born on June 15, 1956 to the late Joseph Rueben and the late Joan Detwiler Jacoby. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by sisters, Joanne Heckman and Barbara Frankenfield; and her step-father, Jake Jacoby.

Karen is survived by her daughters, Theresa Soles (Dale Kearney), and Wendy Heinzl (John); her grandchildren, Gregory Soles (Michelle Walston), Austin Soles, Jamie Craft, David Craft III (Danielle Dean), Kaitlyn Craft, and Collin McLaughlin; her great-grandchildren, Axel Soles, Presley Craft, Bentlee Craft, and London Craft; and her sister, Linda Olson (Jim).

Karen was a simple woman with a free spirit. She loved her swimming pool, roller skating and ice skating. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, taking trips with her family to the beach and mountains, as well as decorating for the holidays. Karen was very passionate and a strong person who was extremely hard working. More than anything else, she was a loving , caring, mom and grandma.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on March 8, 2025 from 12:00 - 4:00pm at Karen's home.
