She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Bobbitt Shearin and Elizabeth Dorsey Shearin; and her brother William Henry Shearin. She is survived by: her husband H. W. Chappell, Jr.; her sons, Mike (Linda) of Wake Forest and Terry (Cathy) of Raleigh; her granddaughters, Brittany Chappell Farner of Winston Salem and Andrea Chappell Dosch of Huntersville; and her great grandchild Owen Farner of Winston Salem.
