He was predeceased by: his parents, Meadows Hayes and Frances Tippett (Card); and his sisters, Janie Faulkner and Doris Ball. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Tippett; his children, Tammy Bowers (Brian), Melvin Smith and Ginger Dickerson; his grandchildren, Roxie Packer, Braxton Bowers, Sabrina Williams, Skylar Smith, Sandy Bennett and Cassie Dickerson; and his great grandchildren, Liam, Miles, Westlyn and Ryder.
