With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl Roy Simmons of Franklinton, North Carolina, born in Waynesboro, Virginia, who passed away on April 2, 2022 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Malcolm Lloyd Simmons; his sister Helen Tucker; and his niece Gina Arbogast. He is survived by: his wife Lorrie Jackson Simmons; his children, Ryan Simmons (Amber) of Churchville, VA and Hailey Simmons of Virginia; his stepchildren, Nick Nance (Gretta) of Wake Forest and Christy Nance of Austin, TX; his grandchild Cooper Simmons; his stepgrandchildren, Ty Handley, Addison Nance, Van Handley and Tenley Nance; and his siblings, Catherine Arbogast (Freddie) of Charlottesville, VA, Linda Bryant (Steve) of Swoope, VA and Joe Simmons (Eva) of Stanton, VA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Memorial contributions can be made to St Jude Children's Hospital, as he held this organization close to his heart.
