Barbara Long Goswick Obituary

Barbara Long Everette Goswick, 80, passed away on February 19, 2025 at her home in Franklinton, NC. Barbara was born on April 22, 1944 to the late Wesley Long Everette and Rosa Hazel Patterson Timberlake. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her first husband, Alton Wilson; a son, Alton Thomas Wilson; her brothers, Ronnie Lee Everette, Wesley Bryant Everette, and Aaron Earl Everette; and a sister, Judith Paulette Dillard.

Barbara is survived by her husband whom she loved dearly, James Goswick; her children, Jimmy Wilson, Sylvia Wilson, and Tracy Wilson; her 8 grandchildren; her many great-grandchildren; her sisters, Evelyn E. McGhee, Stella R. Preddy, and Carrie Y. Pridgen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a very Godly woman, who loved going to church. She was a sister that raised many of her siblings. She loved the Lord and her whole family and friends.

Friends and family will be received from 1:00-1:45pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 East Mason Street Franklinton, NC 27525, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00pm with Pastor Spencer Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton, NC.
