He is survived by: his wife Ann Blaine Mehaffey; his children, Major Richard Mehaffey (Debra), Mark Mehaffey and Angela Ledford (Mike); his grandchildren, Scott Mehaffey (Cortney), JoAnna Lipari (Antonio), Kris Eldred (Tyler), Lindsay Highhouse, Matthew Ledford (Chelsea), Luke Ledford (Kaitlyn), Levi Ledford (Emileigh) and Noah Ledford (Rachel); his great grandchildren, Everly, Corbin, River Mehaffey, Zeb, Zeke Ledford, Allegra, Rafael, Luca Lipari, Jacob Penley, Melissa Highhouse, Ethan Highhouse and Rhodes Ledford; and his sister Florence Faulkner.
