William Sheppard Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2024, at the age of 90, William Sheppard of Franklin, North Carolina, born in Washington, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jatha Sheppard and Lizzie Sheppard. He is survived by: his son Ronnie Sheppard; his sisters, Annie Ursy and Ola Lanning; his brothers-in-law, Murray Whitford and Bob Ogle; his wife Lucy P. Sheppard; his children, Kathy Chandler (Robbie), Jeffery Sheppard (Mary), Cheryl Webster, Jason C. Sheppard (Melissa) and Darrell Ange (Tori); his stepchildren, Chuck Parker (Donna), Beth Stout (late Jeff) and Lucia Parker (Melinda Howard); and his siblings, J. T. Sheppard, Ellen Ogle, Peggy Whitford and Shirley Tetterton. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and an abundance of nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Washington Funeral & Cremation Hillside Chapel (4500 US-264, Washington, NC 27889). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Oakdale Cemetery (180 E 15th St, Washington, NC 27889).
