He is survived by: his daughter Lara Turner (Kevin) of Clyde, NC; his granddaughters, Sarah Grace Turner and Mary Beth Turner; his sister Evelyn Shelnut of Spartanburg, SC; his sister-in-law Rowena Ashe (Paul) of Brevard, NC; his nieces and nephews, Debbie Martin, Pam Ranson, Doug, Donnie Ashworth and Joe Hilliard; and his caregivers, Karen Tallent, Gail Stiwinter and Laura Scruggs.
