She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Cantrell and Hazel Matlock Cantrell; and her siblings, Howard Cantrell and Bertha Alfredson. She is survived by: her husband Roy Jones; her children, Teresa Smith, Ronnie Jones (Kathy) and Michele Norton (Chris); her grandchildren, Stephanie McConnell (Kevin), Jason Smith (Kristen), Dereck Jones (Jessica), Ashley Gibbs (Jeremy), Michael Norton (Megan) and Crystal Allen (Dakota); her great grandchildren, Brennen McConnell, Jackson Smith, Mia Aurigemma, Andrew Aurigemma, Peyton Jones, Alvia Gibbs, Kaleb Gibbs and Kellon Gibbs; her great great grandchild Blakelyn Gibbs; her sister Patsy Smith; and her sister-in-law Betty Ann Cantrell. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cowee Baptist Church (6301 Bryson City Rd, Franklin, NC 28734). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
