He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoke Parris and Maude Freeman Parris; and his siblings, Cleophus, Robert, Wade, Troy, Mack and Pansy.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Parris; his daughters, Kimbery Ledford (Floyd), Wendy Stockton (Jimmy), Misty Haynie (Chuck) and Amy Cooper; his siblings, Janice Caldwell (Ernest), Tommy Parris (Jackie) and Charlie Parris (Joretta); his close friend Chris Watson; his granddaughters, Emily Parris, Collynn Haynie, Megan Haynie, Hannah Jennings, Hailey Jennings, Chloe Jennings and Naomi Ainsworth; and his pet Princess. He is also survived by 6 great grandsons and 3 great granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Men's Challenge of the Smokies.
