He was predeceased by: his son Darren Blakely. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Wood; his children, Trina Waits (Pat), Doug Blakely, Felicia Wood, Rupe Wood, Jr. (Shannon), Donald Blakely (Rexanna Duvall) and Jason Wood (Jennifer); and his brother Johnny Wood (Glenda). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
