He was predeceased by: his daughter Laura Elizabeth McCauley; his former wife Betty Vossberg McCauley; his father Carl Lee McCauley of Ft. Pierce, FL; his stepmother Mary Frances McCauley of Ft. Pierce, FL; and his mother Ethel Baker McCauley.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne; his son Carl Lee McCauley (Angie); his grandchildren, Morgan, Dillon and Amberly; his daughter Lynne McCauley Wiesecke (Sascha); his grandchildren, Katie (Jonathan), Alex and Mikey; his child Jody McCauley Ervin (Ryan); and his grandchildren, Jacob (Xifan), Kellie and Robert Cole McCauley (Taylor).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.
