He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Alonzo Welch and Myrtle Brendell Welch; his wife Wilma Ruth Pinner Welch; and his siblings, Gladys Harry, Louise Parker, Jessie Lee Southards and Joseph DuBoice Welch.
He is survived by: his sister Carol S. Angel of Franklin; his children, James "Jim" DuBoice Welch of Franklin and Fonda S. Strange; his son-in-law Gary Strange of Del Rio, Tennessee; his grandson Matthew Mark Bradley (Kristen); and his great grandchildren, Hailey Ray, Layla, Peter, Emma and Paul. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
