It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Louise Kirkland of Franklin, North Carolina, born in Glennville, Georgia, who passed away on July 22, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, C. N. Long Sr. and Kate Branch Long; her husband James Kirkland; and her siblings, Rick Long, Tim Long, Anne Harris of Margaret Barlow, C. N and Fay Schultz.
She is survived by: her sons, Buster Marrall (Krissy) and Greg Marrall; her stepchildren, Matt Kirkland (Kim), Randy Kirkland, Betsy Kirkland and Lisa Kirkland; her grandchildren, Katie Connor, Justin Marrall, Katy Carnicle, Devon Marrall, Jake Marrall, Demi Marrall, Madelyn Moncus, Trey Moncus, Mindy Kirkland, Meghan Kirkland, Cory Kirkland, Steven Rooney and Tommy Rooney; and her siblings, Gaynell Locke, Johnny Long and Linda Castro. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
