She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Shepherd and Myrtle Holden Shepherd; her siblings, Virginia Foshee and Ralph Lee Shepherd; and her close friend Bob Barrow.
She is survived by: her siblings, James Shepherd of Franklin, Lonnie Shepherd (Becky) of Franklin, Marvin Shepherd (Mary Ann) of Franklin, Vaughn Shepherd of Sylva, NC, Betty Joe Robinson of Milton, FL, Shirley Emmons of Milton, FL and Lois Sims of Smithfield, NC; her niece Hannah Shepherd; and her great-niece Bekah Shepherd. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Macon Funeral Home (261 Iotla St, Franklin, NC 28734). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Liberty Baptist Church (1421 Ned Hill Rd, Franklin, NC 28734).
