She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Scruggs and Grace Bryson Scruggs; her husband Joseph Andrew Gibson; her grandson Jonathan Alan Gibson; and her siblings, James Scruggs, Carl Scruggs, Virginia Scruggs and Charles Scruggs.
She is survived by: her sons, Andy Gibson (Ruthie) and Mark Gibson; her grandson Joey Gibson (Becky); her great grandchildren, Jonathan Alan Gibson Jr. and Sylas Rhett Gibson; her granddaughter-in-law Nina Gibson; and her sister Ann Kinsland. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
