He was predeceased by: his father Meldrum "Pud" Dewey. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Holder Cabe; his daughters, Monica Cansler (John) of Franklin and Karen Tallent of Franklin; his grandchildren, Sarah Norris (Matthew), Ethan Cansler (Sarah) and Dustin Tallent; his great grandchildren, Levi, Lucas, Lauryn and Lexi Norris; and his brother Jackie C. Cabe of Merritt Island. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
