She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Williams and Flora Tennant Williams; her son Stephen Higdon; and her brothers, Roland Williams and Melvin Williams.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Higdon; her daughters, Nancy Bohn (Charles) and Carrie Benway (Anthony); and her sister Bonnita Williams. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
