He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Stamey and Marie Cook Stamey; his wife Marilyn; and his brothers, Jay Lloyd, Dennis, John and Gene.
He is survived by: his daughter Camille Stamey Tuttrup of Franklin; his grandsons, Ashton Shockley and Leland Shockley (Hillary) of Franklin; and his great grandchild Samson Shockley of Franklin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Trinity Church mission program.
