We are sad to announce that on May 4, 2022, at the age of 86, Doris Cheek of Franklin, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Reverend Lester Sorrells; her husband Eugene "Gene" Ray Cheek; and her siblings, Herman, TJ, Ralph, Marshall, Floyd Sorrells, Margaret Bennett, Hazel Johnson and Sis Frazier.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Eugene Cheek and Cathy Helen Holland; and her siblings, Lessie Miller, Kathryn Solesbee, Ethel Sheffield and Jack Sorrells. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Black Mountain Baptist Church.
