He was predeceased by: his father Cecil Christopher Godwin. He is survived by: his mother Nell Crouch of Travelers Rest, SC; his close friend Sabrina "Sally" Gregory of Franklin; his children, Jessica Burleson (Branton) of Asheville and Blaine Godwin (Rhy) of Colorado Springs, CO; his stepchildren, Eva Romero (Tim) of Franklin, Jessica Koch (Darrell) of Franklin and Logan Romero (Angela) of Japan; and his siblings, Cheryl Coren of Flat Rock, NC, Jody Godwin of Burlington, NC and Sherry Williams of Hendersonville, NC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
