He was predeceased by: his father Alton Massengill; and his brothers, William Earl Massengill, James Massengill and Wilton Earl Massengill. He is survived by: his wife Mabel J. Massengill; his sons, Bobby Lee of Four Oaks and Talmadge Glenn Massengill, Jr. (Amanda) of Clayton; his grandchildren, Gabby Massengill of Smithfield, Isaiah Hernandez and Lorena Hernandez of Clayton; and his brothers, Dalton "Bunk" Massengill of Smithfield and Jerry Lee Massengill of Smithfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
