It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Virginia Higgins of Four Oaks, North Carolina, born in Unicoi, Tennessee, who passed away on October 16, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Charles and Mary Frances Higgins. She is survived by: her children, Charles Anthony "Tony" Howell of Benson, Robert Allen "Bobby" Pierce, Jr. of Washington, Johnny Thomas Hollowell of San Angelo, TX, Tammy Michelle Register of Pine Level and Karen "Maria" Andrews of Rocky Mount; and her siblings, Ronnie Higgins of Richmond Hills, GA, Larry Taylor of Cleveland, TN, Buck Higgins of Alliance, OH, Carolyn Higgins-Ajuzie of Douglasville, GA, Charlotte Higgins of Greenville, KY, Starr Fox and Becky Blake of Alliance, OH. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
