He is survived by: his children, Marie Batten Barbour of Clayton, Robin Batten (Lynelle) of Four Oaks and Glenn Batten of Four Oaks; his daughter-in-law Shelia Batten of Four Oaks; his grandchildren, Katina Anderson (Andy), Deanna Lee (Blane), Lauren Byrd, Shepard Barbour (Amber), Chase Batten (Jamie) and Sawyer Gordon (Clay); and his sister Ercell Lee of Four Oaks.
