He was predeceased by: his parent Rayford M. Byrd. He is survived by: his parent Zora West Byrd of Four Oaks; his wife Susie Wood Byrd; his siblings-in-law, Joan Clark (Jim), Eddie Wood (Karen) and Gary Wood, Sr. (Jenise); his nieces and nephews, Cindy Tant (Scott), Gary Wood, Jr. (Joanie), Charlie Wood and Chris Adams; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Blakely, Eli, Garah and Weston; and his friend Ralph Hayes. He is also survived by friends and extended family.
