It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Carol Coates (Four Oaks, North Carolina), born in Wayne County, North Carolina, who passed away on June 27, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Alton and Shirley Stanley Coates. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn Coates; his son Alton Coates (Leah Kane) of Four Oaks; and his siblings, Theresa Beasley (Randy) of Benson, Linda Barksdale of Kansas, Frances Coates of Four Oaks and Johnny Coates of Four Oaks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
