With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle Bryant Snead (Four Oaks, North Carolina), who passed away on November 22, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton C. Bryant and Ida Johnson Bryant; her husbands, Zeke Lee and David Garner Snead; her siblings, Waylon Bryant, Harold Bryant, Ada Kelly and Eva Strickland; her son-in-law Harry Denton; and her granddaughter-in-law Brenda Warren.

She is survived by: her children, Jimmy (Donna Lee), Glenda Denton, Charlotte (Tommy Spradling) and Jane Batten; her grandchildren, Joshua Lee (Kristen), Jordan Lasater (Brad), Jamie Warren, Angela Ingram (Chris), Barry Godwin (Linda), Tracie Core (Brian) and Melissa Woodell; and her siblings, Elgie Jackson (Jerry) and Linwood Bryant (Willa Dean).

In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines.

She had a strong sense of serving the community by participating with cake donations for bake sales, fundraisers, and special events.
