It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marjorie Mae Young Massengill of Four Oaks, North Carolina, who passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rholandus Young and Ethel Phillips Young; her husband Robert Gideon Massengill, Jr.; and her brother LeRoy Young. She is survived by: her children, Ricky Massengill of Four Oaks, Teresa Blackmon (Ronnie) of Four Oaks and Wanda Massengill (Ted Zuercher) of Four Oaks; her grandchildren, Wendy Grantham, Lee Byrd (Travis), Megan Blackman (John), Morgan Massengill, Meredith Young and Miles Massengill; and her great grandchildren, Emilee Byrd, Van Byrd, Jayden Blackman, Maverick Blackman and Mason Young.
