Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Lola Belle Massengill Whittington (Four Oaks, North Carolina), who passed away at the age of 83, on January 30, 2022. She was predeceased by: her husband Thurman Henry Whittington; her parents, Lundy McKinley and Ida Belle Allen Massengill; and her siblings, Paul, Silas, Leola, Martha, Bessie, Cleo and Margie Lee.
She is survived by: her children, Amy Benita Whittington of Benson, NC and Thurman Neal Whittington (Dee) of Garner; her granddaughters, Raynor Elizabeth Whittington and Salem Arabella Whittington; and her sisters, Ann Massengill (Russell Capps), Jean Whittington, Carolyn Hill, Cindy Blackmon, Laurie Printup, Kathy Coats and Sally Wilson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with the NC COVID 19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines.
Flowers are welcomed and memorials may be made to the Food Pantry and Backpack Buddy Program at the First Baptist Church of Four Oaks, PO Box 717, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
