It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leta Stephenson of Four Oaks, North Carolina, who passed away on September 13, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Seth Barbour and Stella Roberts Barbour; her husband Bill Stephenson; her son-in-law Mark Surles; and her brother Billy Barbour.
She is survived by: her children, Yvonne Surles of Dunn and Dwain Stephenson of Four Oaks; her grandson Sean Stephenson; her sister Trudy Benson of Four Oaks; and her sisters-in-law, Rosa Lee Barbour of Four Oaks and Grace Stephenson of Smithfield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
