He was predeceased by: his parents, John Patrick, Sr. and Sarah Magdalene Lawhorn Wilkins; and his brother Theodore Wilkins. He is survived by: his wife Doris K. Wilkins; his children, Cheri Lynne Scott of Four Oaks and John Patrick Wilkins, III of Four Oaks; his grandchildren, Kellie Lynne Soddy (Dustin) of Liberty and Katina Caro (Keith) of Erwin; his great grandchildren, Brynlee Peeples and Wyatt Soddy; his goddaughter Melody Kay Snow of Lexington; and his sisters, Martha Jean Wilkins of Four Oaks and Dorothy Wood (Charles) of Pine Level.
In lieu of flowers; however, memorials may be made to Faith Free Will Baptist Church c/o Cecil Lee 1758 Hockaday Road Four Oaks, NC 27524 or to the Free Will Baptist Church Children's Home, P.O.
