She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Jackson and Louie Blackmon Jackson; her husband Roy Earl Parrish; and her siblings, Josephine Turner, Shorty Jackson of Jean Hawley, R. A, Jimmy Jackson and Nancy Parker.
She is survived by: her daughters, June Raynor (Lamar) of Four Oaks, NC and Pat Cheek of Four Oaks, NC. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
She also received many awards including the Governor's Award for Volunteer Service, the Johnston County Commissioner's Certificate of Excellence, the Order of the Long Leaf Pine and many recognitions with American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
