It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jacob Hicks of Four Oaks, North Carolina, born in Cumberland, North Carolina, who passed away on September 17, 2021, at the age of 29, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ivo Wortman, Jr., Mason and Grace Hicks. He is survived by: his parents, Daniel M. Hicks and Frances Wortman McDonald; his sister Mary Grace Hicks Fisher (Danny); his nieces and nephews, Grayson of Washington, D. C. and Liddy Fisher of Washington, D. C.; his grandmother Irene Wortman of Lillington; his uncle Ivo "Buddy" Wortman, III (Jennifer Russo Wortman); his cousin Ivo Anthony "Tony" Wortman of Arlington, MA; his aunts, Jan Engle Hicks of Rocky Mount and Sue Baylor Hicks of Fayetteville; and also Dowdy.
