He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Eugene Jones and Irene Davis Jones; the mother of his children Susan Parnell Jones; his wife Shirley Patricia Jones; and his sister Brenda Powell.
He is survived by: his children, Eddie Jones (Jeanette) of Four Oaks, NC, Jerry Wayne Jones (Angela) of Selma, NC and Pamela Capps (Travis) of Four Oaks, NC; his grandchildren, Heather Jones, Eddie Ray Jones, Samuel Eugene Jones and Sarah Alexis Messer; his great grandchild Maeve Annette Jones; and his sisters, Linda Pinder of Pine Level, NC and Angie Glover of Smithfield, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
