It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edsel Wayne Johnson of Four Oaks, North Carolina, who passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Cornelius and Thelma Stanley Johnson; and his siblings, Eddie Ray Johnson and Carol Johnson Lee. He is survived by: his wife Willodean Lee Johnson; his daughter Debbie Matthews (Harry) of Coats; his grandchildren, Chris Matthews (Alexandria) and Allison Henry (Thomas); his great grandchildren, Holden and Harper Henry; and his siblings, Shelby Harris (Ed) and Johnnie Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
